Parlami ("the app", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is stored, and how it is used.

1. Data collected

Parlami is a fully offline app. No data is transmitted to any server. All data stays on your device.

The following data is stored locally:

Study progress: your word deck, scores, achievements, counters, nickname, and app settings.
AI model: weights trained on your answers, used to rank words by difficulty.
Subscription state: tier, trial status, and redemption codes (validated locally). Never transmitted.
Device key: a random key used to verify that local files have not been tampered with. Never transmitted.
Dictionaries: downloaded on demand and stored locally. Never re-uploaded.

2. Internet access

The app requests internet access only to:

Download dictionary files from GitHub Releases (github.com / objects.githubusercontent.com). Only specific, allowlisted URLs are accepted.
Download AI personality message files from GitHub Releases.
Process in-app purchases via Google Play Billing (Android only).

No analytics, no tracking, no ads.

3. In-app purchases

Premium subscriptions are processed by Google Play. Parlami receives only a confirmation of the purchase. No payment details are stored in the app or transmitted to us.

4. Permissions

INTERNET: required for dictionary downloads and billing.
BILLING: required for Google Play in-app purchases.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: used to reschedule local study reminders after reboot (Android only).

5. Children's privacy

Parlami does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at the address below.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as features are added. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
